DigestShield® uses Serrapeptase and other protease enzymes such as lactase to break down hard-to-digest proteins found in gluten, gliadin, and dairy. We use a variety of amylase enzymes to break down carbohydrates and a complex of lipase enzymes to break down fats. Probiotics in our formulation can help to re-tune your gut if you have too many bad bacteria. If you suffer ANY distress after eating, protect yourself by taking DigestShield® before you eat.
Each capsule contains a synergistic blend of 20 different enzymes, 11 probiotics, and 5 prebiotics including 200 milligrams of our proprietary new ultra-low molecular weight (ULMW) chitosan.
Chitosan Oligosaccharide serves two purposes in our formula.
First, is designed to bind lectins in the gut before they bind to you. Lectins are found in 40% of the foods we eat and can cause digestive distress and autoimmune reactions. Our ULMW chitosan is found only in DigestShield®. It is a breakthrough ingredient that functions as a powerful prebiotic, a wheat lectin defense, and a defense for our probiotics against stomach acid and bile salts.
Second, Chitosan is an excellent prebiotic that can contribute to the health of the gut and may also be an effective fat binder to help where obesity is a factor. Chitosan can increase serum leptin levels. It can reduce inflammation caused by a high-fat diet. Chitosan can improve gut microbiota such as Clostridium leptum and Coprobacillus cateniformis.
